The Togolese Republic is a member of Ecowas, the West African organisation for economic integration. West Africa has seen huge economic growth. There is potential for port development and a need for (modernisation of the) transport infrastructure. These are sectors in which Flemish companies excel and where cooperation with the Flemish ports can supply the necessary expertise, ensuring sustainable relationships. Moreover, Brussels Airlines also operates a direct route between our country and Lomé, which is beneficial for trade links.
