Project: partial sholarships for academic year 2018 2019 C-MAT
Beneficiary: Centre for Maritime and Air Transport Management
Budget: 110.000 euros
Period: 2018-2019
At the beginning of 1996, the Institute of Transport and Maritime Management Antwerp (ITMMA) was established as an autonomous institute within the structures of the University of Antwerp. The institute specializes in transport, maritime economy and logistics management. Since the academic year 2015-2016, ITMMA has undergone a name change and the curriculum has been renewed. The new Center for Maritime and Air Transport Management (C-MAT) offers, in addition to a maritime section, a master in aviation as its main subject. Now, there is a "Master Maritime & Air Transport Management" with the major options "Maritime" or "Air". The second master is renamed "Maritime & Air Transport Economics".
With the grant from the Foreign Affairs Department, 10 partial scholarships can be awarded to foreign students in order to participate in the master programs. These partial grants are initially offered to partners of the Flemish government with which work programs are concluded, such as Québec and Lithuania. However, the exchanges can also be offered to other countries in consultation with C-MAT.
